Skill: The Treble Clef

At the far left edge of the staff in Song 1b there is a symbol with a lot of elaborate curves. This symbol is called a treble clef. There are several different clef signs, and they each designate a specific group of notes that correspond to the lines and spaces on the staff. The treble clef indicates a group of notes that are just to the right of center on the piano, and are in the range that ladies typically sing. When men sing treble clef notes, they usually sing them an octave lower than they are actually written. That's what I will do.
