Skill: Finding the home note in the key of C

The one remaining key is one that doesn't have any sharps or flats. We just have to remember that this is the key of 'C'. We can find it on the staff by knowing that "middle C" is a note that is on a ledger line between the treble and bass clefs. It's as if a combined staff was eleven lines, and middle C was the middle one. It occurs at one ledger line above the bass staff or one ledger line below the treble staff. Of course, you can also find it an octave away from both positions. This is the home note if the key signature has no sharps or flats.
